Maintenance

The ongoing maintenance of a club’s greens is of utmost importance and is one of the most important factors in ensuring a successful bowling club.

Each club’s greens are unique with respect to:

  • Location
  • Micro climate
  • Soil conditions
  • Water Supply
  • Greens traffic

The information included here is, therefore, based on best practice.

It must be remembered that what works on one green may not necessarily work on another.

One of the key functions that the Greens Care Committee has is to help Green keepers when the norm does not appear to work.
